God at Home
The study of the Gospel at home brings many benefits to the family and home environment. This weekly gathering amongst family members to read and study spiritually uplifting books helps to harmonize their interactions, cleanses the home’s energetic field and fosters a fertile ground for the recurring visit of enlightened spirits and guardian angels, who assist in preventing and treating various spiritual disturbances.
It’s easy to be done. Just choose a day of the week and a convenient time to all participants. Open the meeting with a spontaneous and heartfelt prayer; read an inspirational message and text from books such as Living Spring, The Gospel According to Spiritism, or any other enlightened book. Comment on the readings and how they relate to what is going on in daily life. Finish with a closing prayer. A glass or a jar of water can also be placed so that the spirit benefactors can magnetize it during the gathering.

Previous Activities
Hopkins Nursing Home
Since its foundation, volunteers of Inner Enlightenment Spiritist Society have been visiting the Hopkins Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare, in Brooklyn. Every second and last Sunday of the month, our group spends time comforting the patients individually with uplifting words, smiles, and offering spiritual support through prayers for those that are open to it. The visits are open to anyone interested in donating their time in a charitable and spiritually nourishing activity.
We meet at the lobby at 3pm.

Caravan Of Love
The goal of this group is to connect with patients by performing live music, and also by talking with them individually, encouraging them to sing along with those that feel like joining, or simply hearing them out. The Caravan of Love performs once a month at the Veteran’s Hospital in Manhattan, and at the Hopkins Center, in Brooklyn.

Spiritism Classes for Children and Parents
Once a month, we have classes for kids and their parents. The basic lessons from the Codification are taught with dynamic and fun activities, making it simple for the kids to learn Spiritism. There are two groups, with children from 4 to 7 years old and from 8 to 12 years old.
