Needs and Wants

On February 25, at 7 p.m., Julio Padvoan will join us at IESS for the lecture "Needs and Wants." Needs and wants may sound like a lexicographical debate, as if one is busy with a formal linguistic discussion rather than one's own path to perfection. Nothing could be further from the truth: we often confuse needs with wants, and in today's technological society we easily create artificial needs that become so ingrained in us that we end up wasting valuable time and energy in the pursuit of mere chimeras. Spiritism helps us to have a clear definition of our needs, an essential guideline if we are to follow the path towards the Divine Creator and remain on it, using all our resources to improve ourselves both morally and intellectually.
